Uhm- i just bought the norton internet security 2008 today. and i installed in and everything and i was wondering HOW do i take off the viruses and what not.

I suggest you boot into Safe Mode - press F8 when your computer starts - and scan with Norton again. Then remove everything it finds. If that doesn’t work I suggest you also download and scan with Superantispyware free and Malwarebytes Antimalware free.
Firstly you do Not have 2728 viruses on your comp ! You most likely have a ‘fake’ anti virus doing scans. These can be very hard to get rid of even if you do a complete reinstall. The fake anti virus keeps kicking you off real scan sites .
